Some paid deals are trials that auto-renew into a paid subscription if you don't cancel. Check each deal's terms for the trial length before starting, and cancel before it ends if you don't want to keep it.
Progress carries over. Rewards are only issued once the full number of deals for a tier is completed and confirmed.
